LITTLE REM

They were all my sons.
Since 1975, Rem Koolhaas founded the Office of Metropolitan Architecture (OMA). This firm is developing designs based on research and design. The style is not a thing in this firm. The pragmatical design approach is the most concerning aspect in design postponing the aesthetical part later on in the process.

Rem's approach to architectural fields can describe as designing, publishing, academic, and lecturing. All of these approaches act as a spreader for his manifesto of an era. Instead of being a typical architectural firm OMA play a role as a school for young, bright, and fresh designer expanding their boundary of the design field. Every voice and opinion from junior to associate is integrated into the design creating a creative work atmosphere.

There are many daughters and sons of rem who set their foot and thrive to create a new architecture for world society which many are the influencers of the present world. Once Rem has said that there are essentially two possibilities. One is to be, shall we say, an average architect and do the same thing everywhere. The other is to let yourself be inspired and even changed by the unique qualities of the place where you're building. We always try to take the second approach.

The is a similarity of "OMA School" graduated architect. Challenging possibilities and non-singular aesthetics can be found in all of them. OMA is still producing architecture and architects to propose a new possibility to the world and will do so in the future.

The Circular Diagram of Little REM
A circular diagram represents the relationship between architectural design concepts organized into groups corresponding to the architecture designed by OMA, expressed through different periods and ages.

The Circular diagram originated from Rem Koolhaas separate the project by building type, time as a radius.
